Suzanne Gujadhur Bell is the managing director of International Proximity and was instrumental in its formation. Prior to establishing International Proximity, Suzanne practised for four years at the London Bar and for five years at the Mauritian Bar where she specialised in corporate/commercial law. She also ran the first offshore management company to be licensed in Mauritius. Suzanne holds a MA (Hons) degree in Law from Cambridge University and is a barrister of the Bar of England and Wales and the Bar of Mauritius.
Suzanne has considerable experience of advising on structures for US and European institutional and multinational clients to hold tax-efficiently their investments in the banking, financial, telecommunications, power, media, IT and manufacturing sectors in India, China, other countries in Asia and Africa. She also advises on the administration, and sits on the boards, of investment funds investing in the emerging markets. She is closely involved in International Proximity's trust practice.
Suzanne speaks at conferences and writes on fund, corporate services and tax planning issues. She is a past President of the Association of Trust and Management Companies in Mauritius and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
