• The Mauritius global business centre offers competitive tax rates, an extensive tax treaty network and a range of vehicles which meet the requirements of international business.

Confidentiality for global business companies is enshrined in the legislation: There is no public access to information on global business companies that has been filed with the Registrar of Companies, except in the case of public companies, but that access is limited. The annual audited financial statements of a GBL1 are filed with the FSC and not with the Registrar of Companies. GBL2s and trusts do not have to file financial statements.

The information on global business companies filed with the FSC is kept confidential unless there are reasons to disclose it under the Financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laundering Act, the Prevention of Corruption Act or an international agreement for the exchange of information.
