Suzanne Gujadhur Bell
Suzanne is the founder and managing director of International Proximity and has key responsibility for International Proximity’s Africa business focus. One of the veterans of the global business sector in Mauritius, Suzanne ran the first management company to be licensed in Mauritius before setting up International Proximity in 1995. She is a past President of the Association of Trust and Management Companies (ATMC) in Mauritius and sat on the board of the Mauritian government’s Financial Services Promotion Agency. She has been instrumental in developing International Proximity’s involvement in the Mauritian film industry. Suzanne holds a MA (Hons) degree in Law from the University of Cambridge and is a barrister of the Bar of England and Wales and of the Bar of Mauritius. She practised at the London Bar for several years before moving to Mauritius.
Ashish Jagarnath
Ashish is director of International Proximity with responsibility for business development, innovation, and strategy. Ashish graduated with a Maitrise des Sciences de Gestion from the University of Paris IX Dauphine and qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Waterhouse in the UK before joining Price Waterhouse in Jersey. Ashish then joined Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for business development for a major division of Deutsche Bank in Jersey and identified the opportunity for the Bank to develop an insourcing operation in Mauritius. In 1999, he set up the Deutsche Bank operation in Mauritius which became a model for insourcing in Mauritius. Ashish was deputy head of the Deutsche Mauritius office until 2005 when he joined International Proximity. Ashish sits on a number of industry committees at national level.
Vikash Sungker
Vikash is director of International Proximity with ongoing focus on ensuring governance and operational efficiency. He sits on the boards of major investment companies and funds that invest in the emerging markets of Asia and Africa. Vikash joined International Proxmity in 1997 and his expertise spans French and English law: He holds a Licence en Droit (LLB) from the University of Montpellier I in France and a LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Northumbria in England, together with Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners advanced certificates in trust and corporate practice.
